ENDOW Women’s Study Edith Stein - Seeker of Truth

Edith Stein is a contemporary saint for all seasons of women’s lives. She was a brilliant Jewish philosopher and forward thinker whose quest for the truth led her to conversion to Catholicism and ultimately to martyrdom as a Carmelite nun at Auschwitz during World War II. Also known as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, her prolific writings on women and understanding of our feminine souls have influenced such greats as St. Pope John Paul II. Her legacy and life’s work help us to know ourselves so that we can fulfill our mission as women in the body of Christ, bringing our feminine genius to bear to make this world a better place.
